A Personal note from Jarvis:
Two years ago a tanker truck filled with one of the most lethal substance on our planet over turned on interstate 20 and required an evacuation of our community. Our local congregation along with all of the other congregations did not have a plan for disaster preparedness, response and evacuation. We were neither as a local church nor as a coalition of churches prepared/ready to evacuate the elderly and those without transportation. We realized we needed to help prepare local congregations and help them work together to respond and minister through a prayer-care-share lifestyle in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. If you live in a community where you local church does not have a plan and or has not developed a plan for coordinated emergency/disaster response, I strongly urge you to join this call and invite other local pastors!
